July 13, 2022 - This has aged beautifully. More reminiscent of Burgundy than many Sancerres Rouges. Nose has a black cherry, forest floor, rocky notes, too. Some spice - perhaps from the oak. Palate brightly acidic, lifting incredible cherry fruit and subtle underlying earth tones. Some mushroom tones. Again, some spice, and a mineral texture supporting. Tannins resolved. Not a terribly long finish and complexity not hugely high, but there. SOmewhere between Bourgogne and village level juice in quality.

February 16, 2022 - Nice ruby color. Cherry on the noise. Nice balance. Like my favorite Oregon PN’s.

July 30, 2019 - The two previous notes sum this up nicely.
I get a smokey essence from the Hippolyte Reverdy Rose' and Sauvignon Blanc as well.
I prefer those to the Rouge, but this is still very nice. Light and food-friendly as has been mentioned. Slightly tart and spicey. Can't say that I'd buy it again, but I am very glad I had the chance to experience it this one time.
Traditional Pinot glass on PnP, though some air did seem to enhance the complexity.

June 4, 2019 - Red ruby hue. Iodine and cherry pits on the nose. Crisp, slightly tart cranberry and red cherry flavors brimming on the palate. Bright acidity and subtle tannin leading to a moderately long finish of red berry and grippy stone. Excellent with shrimp in dill-mustard sauce over pasta.

August 4, 2018 - I love Sancerre Rouge - I think there's a slight smokiness reminiscent of pacific northwest pinot. The color on this one was a beautiful pale red, with some age showing on the rim. Bright red cranberries and sour cherries - I might guess it were a sangiovese if I were reading the label. Lots of acid, but well balanced for having w/ food. At with ravioli, pine nuts, mushrooms, and vodka sauce.
