February 29, 2024 - Clear pale ruby; clean medium nose of mushrooms, dried cherries, florality and balsamic; dry; high acidity; high tannins; high alcohol; medium plus body; pronounced flavour intensity; palate is tarter and follows nose; long finish; still very rough and unruly - will it settle down after a nap?; tasted non-blind at LCBO dinner

July 12, 2023 - Burg vs Barolo Night (Meatsmith Telok Ayer): Pale garnet, with some browning and fading on edges. Starts very closed on the nose and takes some 3 hours to show a hint of florals and chestnuts. Palate remains zingy in acids and bitey in tannins, while flavours still mostly savoury and then having some roses, twigs, and underripe cherry. Quite persistent at the back though, with a cherry and hay undertone

April 29, 2023 - Moderate ruby in the glass. Big fruit on the nose here, going on a combo of red and black berry fruit. Medium-bodied with a slight grip of tannins and big acidity. Lacks a bit of depth for me at this price.

October 29, 2021 - Watery and dull, at most showing vague notes of cherry and flower. Tastes overproduced, as though it were the antithesis of Burgundy. For me, it's an infuriating waste of a hundred and fifty bucks.
