January 20, 2024 - Bordeaux Wine Tasting: Not much aroma. Honeyed, slightly green clover flavors. A little sharp through the finish. Aged to long; likely would have been better 5 years ago.

May 17, 2021 - The color of this wine is amazingly appealing --a lovely golden yellow. And the nose is equally alluring--yellow plums and hints of pumpkin pie spiced with nutmeg. On the palate, it is rich and redolent of ripe, yellow fruit, balanced by nice fresh acidity. However, these excellent features are marred by a slight bitterness the origin of which I cannot determine. It might be overoaking; it might be over charring of the oak, or it might be that some maderization has set in. In any event, what could have been a top scorer falls short. Pleasant and intriguing but not outstanding, If other bottles are like this one, I would say "drink up soon!"

Several days later, another bottle did not display the bitterness noted above, and on that basis I would up the score to 90. -

August 15, 2020 - Mid gold colour, flowers citrus nuts and apples on nose, rich long palate with balancing acidity, almost like a Meursault or similar, but with taughtness and precision. Lovely.

April 5, 2019 - This needs just a little air (maybe 30 minutes, not decanted) and to be at perhaps 10-12 degrees. Then it's really rather nice.
On the nose there's white flowers and some minerality; on the palate it is very nicely balanced, unripe peach, white flowers, stone, with the acidity from the (75%) sauvignon complementing the (25%) semillon perfectly. The finish is moderately long, but neither cloying nor acidic.
At US$28 I find this pretty good QPR.1 person found this helpful Comment -
