March 18, 2017 - Very approachable, but still has the classic petite sirah structure. Resolved tannins are there, but smooth. Nose was lovely, with dark fruits and some asphalt / tar undertones. Initial palate was great, with similar dark fruit and blackberry jam. Finish was medium, and overall backend of the palate was a little thin. Overall, a great wine, and lovely with steak, as you'd expect.

March 14, 2014 - Inky dark purple. The more it sits in the glass the more it opens up. Leather, tar, black cherry, liccorice and minor hints of oak. Bummed it's my last bottle of '04
