Memorable, lovely sour cherry pit and wet soil notes. Pretty foinish. -

April 8, 2023 - Medium tawny colour. Nose of strawberry, tomatoe, oregano, tea and anise. Smooth and delicate at first, but the finish is lengthy with good, integrated tanins.

Enjoyed over 2 nights, the aromas included dried tobacco leaf, menthol, dirty road tar, sour red cherries, and wet soil.
On the palate, nicely tart and fairly pungent flavors of tart cherries, kirsch, pipe tobacco, wet slate and earth.
The tannins remain grippy and there is firm acidity leading into the very nice, earthy finish.
Drink this wine through 2025+ or so.
