August 25, 2021 - Chassange - Northside: An outstanding bottle. Golden orchard fruit, spice and honey aromas. Palate is ripe with nice sweet fruit yet buoyant and fresh. So well balanced. In a peak zone.

August 25, 2021 - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Tasting #1 (Northside / Montrachet-adjacent) (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): In 2014 Chenevottes flight.Fun and somewhat fleshy for the vintage with good overall balance. Perhaps less bright than the best bottles of Chaumées tonight, but the star here is its harmony and balance. Very good now.

May 13, 2018 - The nose was wonderfully fresh yet rich showing notes of almond paste, lemon curd, lime zest, fresh apple, and crushed stone. On the palate, I found soft textures with medium-bodied weight as ripe stone fruits gave way to a mix of intense minerals, lemon, honey and hints of vanilla, all offset by vibrant acidity. It finished crisp and long with saturating mineral tones that curled the tip of the tongue while hints of lemon and inner floral tones resonated throughout.

January 7, 2017 - Nose: The nose is tightly coiled, but it starts to open up with air. There is excellent balance and depth with lemon curds, custard, white florals, red apples, pears, vanilla beans, and some fresh rain.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium+ acidity. The acidity is refreshing with there being a density to the feel with lemon curds, custard, red apples, pears, and vanilla beans.

Overall: This is still quite young. The raw materials are there, but this feels like it's a good 3-5 years away from really showing itself.

June 28, 2016 - Tuesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Remoissenet, Bernard Moreau, Pousse d'Or, Comte Liger-Belair (Cote d'Or): Tasting at the domaine. Riper vs Vergers and more opulent textures. Very nice harmony of fruit, spice, acid and minerality. Perhaps slightly less precise, but this is a more forward and friendly wine everybody will easily enjoy.
