December 2, 2020 - M&PD Zoom night. Blind wine tasting of the following:

    1999 Domaine Leroy Corton-Charlemagne
    1993 Domaine Dujac Echezeaux

    1998 Gaja Langhe Nebbiolo Sperss

1999 Domaine Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Le Grand Maupertui

    1997 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
    1990 Clos de Tart

    Eric’s thoughtful notes here:

A couple of additional thoughts from my POV:

This was my favorite red of the night. The earth, wood and smoke layering into the fruit was other-worldly. I've had a challenge reproducing this experience from later-vintage Dujac.

June 9, 2020 - Operates in a narrower range than the '93 CDR. Highlights purple fruit. Good bottle.

April 1, 2019 - The most supple of the '93 Dujac GC's, this was a good bottle. Velvety.

March 17, 2019 - Pure, beautiful expression of Echézeaux with sensuality and some animality to go with red and dark fruits beneath, sweetness from fruit. Cellared since original release.
