April 9, 2024 - As exceptional as on 9/2/23. I may have to look for some more older Burgundies. This was delightful and I have the same impressions as from the last bottle on 9/2/23.

November 23, 2023 - Nice with a light texture, gains weight with air. Still quite young.

September 2, 2023 - Nose of ripe strawberries/cherries, chocolate, wet stones. Palate: very soft, elegant, ripe strawberries and cherries. Being a Bordeaux lover, I own but a couple dozen Burgundies compared to 100s of Bordeaux. This was a nice buy in 1/18, glad to have 2 more.

February 11, 2023 - Dinner at Highland. Tasted blind. Drank in Grassl Cru.
Better than the last taste of this bottle 3 years ago! Aired for few hours in bottle already.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of aromatic deep floral rose petals, violets and peonies, earth, red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity dipping to medium+, medium alcohol (13%), supple medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of savoury earth, sweet red plums, elegant red cherries, floral spice, peonies, melted potpourri. Slight hints and flashes of meat. Mouth-filling long finish.
Very good quality. This had everyone guessing Chambolle or Vosne. Again this fine elegant red fruited expression of Cazetiers from Domaine Faiveley as per my previous note.

April 21, 2022 - Recent wines drunk at home: Drunk from Zalto Denk'Art Burgundy stem over two nights, during which it did not change. Bright but lighter ruby colour. An airy bouquet of dark red cherries, raspberries, dark chocolate, wet slate, plums and bonfire smoke. On palate, elegant, restrained and a little (attractively) austere, with flavour complexity. Typical 2014 red Burgundy, a vintage I very much like. Sour cherry, chalky minerality, cocoa and a dash of cranberry. Some iron at the core. Vivid acidity, very dry. Clean and pure. Compact, well integrated tannins. Alcohol (13% ABV) fully aligned. Near the start of its optimal drinking window now, until around 2030, I would think. [Edit: last sentence changed to clarify my view of the drinking window].
