January 25, 2020 - This has faded somewhat but still has some nice tannins and fruit. Pretty happy with this from a QPR perspective, but probably wouldnt buy more since there probably isnt much more than 1 year left in it, maybe two.

May 5, 2017 - This is drinking so beautifully, still a heady wine but the tannins have resolved considerably. Unlike the Carlisle Zin I had recently this is still showing ample fruit and complicating flavors such as berries, licorice, violets, herbs, and stones. I think the stout structure from the Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah in this wine have enabled it to age exceptionally well for a big wine.

December 24, 2016 - great nose of roast meat, iron, licorice, baking spices 7 a sort of floral lift that carries through the palate with baking chocolate notes framing bright red fruit with good acidity. a bit too much alcoholic heat on the end though throws the wine out of balance.

January 6, 2014 - Excellent wine in a wonder place right now. Pop-n-pour to a slightly bricking color. Cherry and strawberry, with cured meats and cacao, backed up with fresh ground black pepper. Silky tannins round it out.

January 27, 2013 - A very captivating wine with lots of aromatic components ranging from sweet strawberry fruit to darker notes of pit fruit, than there is a whole array of other aromatic components ranging from dried herbs to eucalyptus and tobacco notes as well as some exotic spice cabinet smells and old leather. The flavor profile is full but not heavy at all if anything more on the elegant side. Good balance on the finish. This showed well within minutes of a splash decant and there was very little sediment. Overall i would highly recommend drinking it now or in the near future to enjoy the kaleidoscope like aromatics. Tasty stuff.
