March 10, 2024 - Medium to deep ruby color. Medium aromas of black fruit, dried herbs, meat, and barnyard funk. Medium acidity; soft tannins, high alcohol; medium bodied. Pronounced flavors of blackberry, black plum, pepper, meat, leather. Long finish.
First time I have ever had this wine. I'm very much looking forward to having it again. -

This is a sad testament to how much cellar time Beaucastel needs, this is half-baked right now and needs 5+ years in my opinion. Floral and green right now, savory, packed with flavory, it needs to calm down although you can struggle through it.

Very floral, very green, medium bodied, but this really evolved over an hour so there's a lot more to come. Gut impression is 93pts as this evolved with maybe some upside as these age glacially.
