  May 28, 2018 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Blind tasting without a plan (@Private location): Clear, medium golden color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose with quite some petrol, botrytis (acacia honey), herbs, ripe apricot and some oxidative notes.
  Dry. 13% abv. You can taste the very warm vintage, acidity cannot really balance the warm opulence of the wine. On the palate very ripe yellow fruit, ripe pear, beeswax, botrytis. Medium finish. Good wine, but lacks most of what I love in a Halenberg wine from a cooler vintage. Will keep for years, but I guess it will not improve. 89-90

  May 28, 2018 - Asperg Wine Syndrome Tasting Group: Crisscross Part II (Private Location): Definitely influenced by the super hot vintage 2003, this Halenberg Spätlese trocken from Schönleber showed lots of ripe fruit like apricot, beeswax, ripe pear, acacia honey and with some more time in the glass, some fine herbal notes.
  Also super ripe on the palate, the acidity only showed up on the back end. Gets better with time in the glass.

  March 21, 2009 - Dinner at home with friends (At home in Kraainem, Belgium): Light gold color. Discrete nose... but what a mouth-filling experience! Loads of minerals and white fruits, incredible density and length. Probably still too soon to drink, should have waited another 2-3 years. Fantastic!
  
  Robe or pâle. nez discret... mais quelle expérience en bouche! Des tonnes de minéralité et de fruits blancs, densité et longueur incroyables. Probablement encore trop tôt pour le boire, on aurait dû encore attendre 2-3 ans.

  March 12, 2008 - Light color. Initially very discrete, progressively opening up in the glass and over the course of the evening, ultimately displaying a beautiful minerality and length. Should have been decanted to maximize the pleasure; wait a couple more years.
  
  Robe très claire. Initialement très réservé, s'ouvrant progressivement dans le verre et au cours de la soirée pour dévoiler une belle minéralité et persistance. Aurait dû être carafé pour en profiter au maximum, à attendre encore quelques années.
