    July 30, 2022 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -nearly semi-translucent med red
-somewhat muted save for some gentle red berry
-med acidity, med- weight red fruit with mature notes and a faintly medicinal finish with med- tannins
-this might have been a little better a few years ago when the fruit was a fresher

December 24, 2019 - From a 50-yo one-hectare plot the Prudhons own in Les Frionnes. Aged in used 228-liter oak pièces for 9-10 months. 13% alcohol.

Translucent pomegranate color with a subtly orange hue and a pale, limpid rim. Vibrant, dry nose with aromas of fresh cranberries, peppery Pinosity, some earthy tones, a little bit of cigar, light sour cherry tones, a hint of savory old oak spice and a floral touch of violets. The wine is light-to-medium-bodied, fresh and crunchy on the palate with flavors of cranberries, wild strawberries and some brambly raspberry tones along with a little bit of stony minerality, a hint of sour cherry bitterness and a touch of tart cranberry. The wine gains subtly sweet overtones as it warms and opens up in the glass, but not to any great extent. Good sense of balance with its high, appley acidity and light, mellow tannins. The finish is dry, gently grippy and very crunchy with light yet long and mouth-cleansing flavors of tart lingonberries, some redcurrants, a little bit of sour cherry bitterness, light mineral notes of gravel and a spicy hint of earthy Pinosity.

Not a big or impressive Burgundy, but instead a wonderfully bright, delicate and crunchy effort that is all about freshness and elegance. Very high-strung in style, this could benefit from some cellar aging, although it's hard to assess whether the wine will actually get better with age, or just change into something different. Nevertheless, a lovely little drop from the lighter end. Benefits from decanting. A food wine. Good value at 23€.

November 22, 2017 - Tasting at Domaine Henri Prudhon with Vincent Prudhon: PnP bottle. Elegant and pretty aromatics of red cherry with some light herbaceous qualities. Lighter bodied, elegant and easy to drink already. 87-88 points.

June 2, 2017 - 13.5% - Clear, light and pale ruby / clean, med intensity - cassis cream, crunchy red berries, earthy (dry forest floor), dry flower petals / dry, med+ refreshing acidity, med to light body, med to low tannin, med intensity and length. Ca pinotte! Good bottle from the Cote de Beaune. Could benefit from 3-5 years of cellaring, but it still delivers ...
