December 27, 2023 - Much better since 2018 when I had a previous bottle. Enjoyed this wine having coravined half the bottle last week. I may be in the minority, but I always thought 2014 was a decent year for California cab. While not stupendous, this wine is quite tasty.

October 30, 2023 - PNP. No formal notes. Well made in the modern style. Blueberry, cocoa, full bodied, enough acidity. No rush, but I don’t see this developing any further, drink in the next few years.

January 7, 2023 - Decanted and drank over two days. Day one was puzzling - simple flavors, but muted. Lacking depth that Moulds usually has. Day two was better, but it still seemed like it could show better. Not sure if it was the bottle, or the wine. Just ok.

October 16, 2022 - CT notes from 2020 were somewhat negative though recent scores have been positive, so wasn't sure what I'd get here. Plus I've lost interest in the non-vineyard designate Cab from Becklyn. The NVD is just a bit too rich/extracted for my current phase I guess.
Looks like two additional years in bottle have helped as this was surprisingly good. Gave it two hours of air with a double decant. Piercing bright fruit flavors, some spice and maybe a hint of pepper there. Intriguing complexity and smooth.
I'm a fan of the Roy Piper which always has a majority of Moulds so I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised I liked this.
Drinking beautifully now and am guessing it will hold for a few years but beyond that may lose the piercing fruit flavors so attractive in this today. Definitely hold if you like your Cab more subtle.

This is backwards and/or shut down but I'm not sure how much it will improve over time. Very different from the 2014 NV which I recall having enjoyed a couple of years ago; not sure if there is any Moulds int he NV blend though. Very shallow nose, with sweet red fruits and earth; palate was burst of ripe, sweet red fruit with little darker fruit on the back end; over time, a little chocolate maybe at times and quite a bit of oak and cedar; big tannins and quite a lot of acid.
