Community Tasting Notes 8

April 16, 2023 - Wow, is this delicious today! I first tried this wine at at a tasting hosted by Rob Panzer at the now-closed Bibou restaurant in 2017 - pairing up Burklin-Wolf's 2014 & 2015 vintages with Pierre Calmels cooking was magical.

And it surprises me that I've never posted a TN on this wine, because this is my next to last bottle. Medium weight for a Riesling, with great persistence on the finish. Slate & apple on the nose, lively acidity on the palate - this is firing on all cylinders.

March 18, 2023 - NOSE: tarnished silver, lily, pear, bitter stone, sweet spring herbs, root vegetable, shaped with authority. Liminal, directed acidity. Very fresh.

January 8, 2023 - Something wrong with this bottle. Dark yellow colour and reeks of botrytis.

August 21, 2019 - Brought to Chachama Grill for their lobster bake. Shows grapefruit pith, peach, and just the slightest notes of petrol. A delicious wine.

August 13, 2017 - I brought this to a hole in the wall Thai restaurant and it went well with the spicy food. Peach, citrus, dry but with a hint of sweetness. Delicious.
