Community Tasting Notes 10

  • KNNOngQW Likes this wine: 90 points

October 15, 2022 - Tastes like a mini version of claude dugat gevrey chambertin. Leathery notes , cigar all there.

  • Hendmo Likes this wine: 89 points

November 30, 2021 - Pale ruby with a bit of garnet, the nose is quite lively and expressive with fresh herbs, bright acidic red fruits, some green grass stalks and a hint of earth, smoke meats and vanilla. Palate is fresh, with bright acidity underlining the cranberry, red cherry and strawberry flavours, but also has a slight hint of green grass and the tartness of green apples, with a minerally savoury element, but not in an unpleasant way at all, it just adds to the interest and complexity. Some gentle grip towards the finish to indicate it has a few years in it yet. Very nice, but don’t expect a fruit bomb, this is more cerebral than that.

Lasting impression : interesting, fresh and green, a bit like a Granny Smith apple

February 17, 2021 - Beautiful tart cherry/rhubarb flavors. Mouth-watering acidity (which is very much to my taste). Not highly complex, but a very nice, long finish.

  • jwbuckman Likes this wine: 96 points

February 23, 2020 - Concentrated and highly acidic. Damp forest floor, mushrooms, and dried cherries.

  • JVC_BE Likes this wine: 88 points

June 21, 2019 - This will need at least 3 years extra in the cellar.
