March 29, 2024 - Perhaps more developed than I expected, still plenty of fruits lyft although a bit more on the dried side than I expected. A touch of brett as well. I think it’s time to drink up!

September 29, 2023 - Tuscan WIMPS (La Trompette): Natty Brunello: who knew? In my view it works here, and reinforces my view that the 2012s are drinking really well right now. Some funk on opening, a touch of VA, and then a cacophony of aromas - inviting strawberry, cherry, mint, young fresh leather. Lively and clear. Spicy, velvety concentrated fruit on the palate with some grip and juicy acidity. Very nice.

July 21, 2020 - This bottle really surprised me with its maturity, a completely different animal compared to last tasting. Already in the glass you can sense the development. Mushed matured cherries, leather, gravel road, dark sugar, moist leaves and dried herbs like salvia. On the palate the tannins are definitely present but incredibly smooth and polished considering how young this is. Rosehip and dried rosed, liquorice and worn leather. Paint box. A lot of Nebbiolo-notes to be honest and that's probably were I'd end up if I was served this blind. This bottle have probably aged a bit too fast but boy is it good with its tertiary notes and smooth palate. Seems like quite a lot of bottle variation of the '12 so not sure what to do with my last bottle.

March 13, 2020 - Somewhat less developed than the bottles we opened last week. The beautiful nose displays the floral and fruity side (roses, salvia, fresh red cherries) as well as the first stages of maturity (tea, tobacco, leather, soil, and more). The palate has ample body, embedded refreshing acidity and good extract with no signs of 'extraction', the tannins are rounded and smooth while the alcohol is slightly warming on the finish. A lovely sangiovese in a great place now!
