  July 31, 2021 - Lots of petrol, flint, and minerals to go along with the green apple and white peach fruit flavors. Just a touch of juniper and anise seed too. Bone dry and probably needed a few more years for the lemony acidity to yield way to some other flavors, though, on day 2, I did get a nicer rounder, honied taste. I can see why TT says this is “GG” material. This doesn’t hit you like a Kabinett. It’s top quality stuff, but a little too stern for me to enjoy at this stage.

  May 13, 2018 - Among the Hochheimer vineyards, the Kirchenstück is always the more feminine one, and this Kabinett Trocken is a beautiful expression of the terroir. Very fragrant and floral nose, fresh and mineral, with aromatic green herbs, citrus and peach; elegant and flowing palate, light (11.5% ABV), dancing almost, fresh and juicy, with tingling acidity and gentle grip from subtle bitters; good resonance and length. This is lovely, pure and wonderfully drinkable now - 2022.

  January 2, 2018 - Weingut Künstler 2016 Riesling and 2015 Spätburgunder (Weingut Künstler, Hochheim): Ethereal, almost disconcerting floral/grapey perfume-like scent; very light entry with gentle CO2 spritz and refreshing, linear, pure Rheingau Riesling Kabinett fruit; shortish finish. 2019-2016? 13€ cellar door. 88(+)P
