Serious scent, like an old-fashioned, heavy perfume; surprisingly lithe, medium-bodied entry; mid-palate tightly closed-up today, but discernable apricot fruit with a touch of bitter almond/peach kernel. A baby with decades in store. 34€ cellar door. 91(++)

Complex, fascinating scent with raw leather, expensive fur coat (honestly, this is not a wine for faint-hearted vegans) and very classy bright red fruit; medium-bodied entry with high notes of iodine/sticking-plaster and dried blood; super-fine structured tannic mid-palate promises great things to come; a surprising hint of cassis on the finish.
