October 2, 2019 - This is basically an inoffensive vin de table or jug wine. I struggle to find anything enjoyable about it, and I would not buy it again at any price. It's not terrible, but there are far better options for just a few $ more.

September 21, 2019 - Already showing some secondary notes of tobacco, wet forest and olive, this is a solid example of uncomplicated, Left Bank Cabernet Sauvignon that is perfect for drinking today.

September 17, 2019 - Picked this up while wondering around Okaido Street, Matsuyama. Clean floral nose. Rather spicy on the palate, good acidity with slight heat at finish. ABV 13.5%, probably high for the vintage. Fairly short on the finish. Just okay wine, is that okay? (Just okay is not okay according to those funny TV commercials)...

February 25, 2019 - Amsterdam UGCB Tasting and Winemakers' Dinner (Beurs van Berlage / Café De Klepel): Stylish, lightly creamy but not lactic, harmonious and elegant, pure and fresh, for drinking in the first decade of its life. Joyful.

January 25, 2019 - UNION DES GRANDS CRUS DE BORDEAUX 2016 VINTAGE SAN FRANCISCO. (Metreon, San Francisco, Ca.): UNION DES GRANDS CRUS DE BORDEAUX 2016 VINTAGE SAN FRANCISCO. Nose of black cherry, red cherry, and forest floor after a recent summer shower, same on the palate, medium/big body, fairly fruit forward, enjoy the next 10 years, great QPR, lovely fruit, rich fruit, tasty, good, soft tannins, which should be silky in 3 years, and a long, long finish.
