Community Tasting Notes 5

December 25, 2021 - The color is dull toffee red and more advanced than anticipated.
The nose opens with a high level of funk that seemed to reduce over time. Barnyard, cured meat and cherry. Porty.
Nice density, richness and ripe tannins. Black cherry and spiced meat.

September 2, 2019 - Blind Tasting Study with Friends (Joyce’s Place): Deep garnet color which suggests age. A blast of barnyard funk, cocoa powder, and stewed meats on the nose. Powerfully intense, with high acids and a big alcohol burn, as well as tannins that creeps up for a sense of dryness. Combined red and black cherries, and a strong mint chocolate hint. Rosy cassis, hint of raisins and even a cola feel on the back and finish, and quite persistent. Good power, yet pretty well balanced and not all out raisinny like many other examples of Amarone. Strange for it’s level of development considering only a 5-year-old

February 8, 2018 - Correct pour un Amarone d’entrée de gamme. Pour légèrement plus cher, il y a d’autres Amorone avec beaucoup plus de profondeur.

    ***$$$

August 14, 2017 - Well balanced with the depth and richness expected of an amarone.
