August 3, 2018 - Delicious. Rich palate of crisp yet ripe plummy fruit, blackberries, and subtle oak. Fully resolved tannins. Long finish. Got better in the glass over an hour and on repours. Lewis vineyard fruit is so fine.

May 27, 2017 - No rating, as there may be a bit of volatile acidity on this bottle. Still vibrant red fruit, leather, tobacco - all there, but muted by some odd balsamic/apple-cider vinegar flavor. It's mild, but it's also distracting. Though I'm a huge fan of the late Eric Dunham, his wine and his label art, on these single vineyard wines. This is a small annoyance, really. I guess shame on me for letting it get this old.

September 8, 2013 - The nose was rich and oaky with leathery undertones. Dark cherry with herb spices and a smooth oaky finish on the pallet. One of the best Merlots I have had. I will be calling Dunham tomorrow and hopefully order more!

April 12, 2012 - Decanted for 3 hours. Dark cherry, older oak, tannins galore. Loved this wine. Carried it around for 8 years and were so happy the changes in temp during travel didn't skunk the wine.

January 25, 2011 - Deep black cherry red, roasted cherry nose w a hint of stewed character - but then palate is better, good intensity and length, v good acidity, carries itself well, tannins are good, it is actually quite mouthwatering, good texture, good cut - flavours are tasty, this is nice wine except for the stewed character on the nose.
