June 6, 2018 - Surprisingly decent Sauv blanc.
Great balance and on the nose I get freshly cut grass and Guava fruit. On the palate some oiliness, minerals and guava fruit. Good fruit with acidity here.
Been disappointed with Cloudy Bay and Kim Crawford being on the too austere side with cut grass being prominent without enough fruit backing it up.
In my estimation this is better than their rose. -

August 24, 2017 - A week in Napa for the Napa Valley Grape Growers Harvest STOMP party; 8/22/2017-8/27/2017 (Napa, CA): Tasting visit to Snowden Ranch with Randy Snowden. First wine tasted while standing in the vineyard overlooking the SB vines. Planted in the middle of the cab sauvignon vines, on a low spot in the hillside Lost Vineyard about 800 ft elevation. This patch gets some nice sun! This a bordeaux style Sauv Blanc, much leaner then a typical Cali SB - elegant and clean with stone fruit, citrus and minerals. Paired with Parmesan Goldfish:-)
