September 4, 2023 - Lemon, lime, dried pineapple, and a light touch of caramel with a background note of honey create the nose. The wine is bright, and semi-sweet, and finishes with a sweet/tart, lime and green apple note. Drink from 2023-2025.

July 22, 2022 - Definitely one of the most interesting drinking experiences I've had. Because Y wasn't made every year in the past, getting to drink it is an opportunity to experience 'dry' Sauternes.

Medium gold. We left it in the bottle with the cork out but didn't decant. After 20-30 minutes in the glass there were wonderful aromas of honey, apricots and spice - reminding me of a classic Sauternes smell. The wine itself is of course dry, but on the palate it still showed strong bursts of acidity along with the aforementioned Sauternes profile. After approximately 1.5 hours after opening the bottle, the taste started to fade, but the wonderful aromas remained.

If you still have this in your cellar, I would drink it soon - and take the short drinking window into account (best between 30-65 minutes after uncorking and leaving in the bottle). A truly unique wine - I don't imagine there are many old Ygrecs left.

February 22, 2019 - Still reasonably light golden color. Interesting flavors of orange blossoms, honey and metallic minerals. Good acidity and a grippy, complex finish. Tastes like a dry version of Yquem. Based on the performance of the '64, I would say this still has upside. 92+

February 20, 2019 - An evening of vinous gems (Benoit): Somewhat waxy. Smells and tastes just like a (sweet) Sauternes.

November 17, 2018 - Acker 2018/11 (Marea): Oaky, pineapple, peach, salinity, stone, spicy and earthy with prominent bitterness. Imagine an old d’Yquem but dry. Good balance. 92
