    November 21, 2022 - Colour: Light gold / silver
    Nose: Subdued, apricot and ginger
Palette: Slightly unripe apricot, a bit green with caramel and bitter lemon and lime to finish.

Not one of the best Virgilius I've had.
It' has a hollow middle palette and does not have the richness and integrated ripe flavours of other vintages I've enjoyed.
The finishing bitterness also detracts from it.

August 19, 2020 - Pale yellow for a nose marked by notes of peach in syrup with a mineral touch. Creamy texture nuanced by a sharp acidity that, unfortunately, ends quickly on the mid-palate. Good persistence, tasty and long. Dry and representative wine of the varietal. Undoubted reminiscences to Coindreu so this should age well, at least five years more.

February 23, 2020 - Surprisingly the largest Viognier growers in the world. Vineyard from the 1970s. Medium golden in the glass. Lots of oak dominance on the nose, masking the beautiful aromatics by which the grape is famous for. Medium-bodied, loads of warmth. Acidity is smothered somewhere beneath the oak and the alcohol, which is only 12.5%, but still feels disjointed. Loads of tropical character. Medium finish. Not something I'd come back to.

November 29, 2017 - Tasting at Yalumba (Angaston): (french oak) creamy white fruit, hint buttery, savoury nose, ripe orange. Apricot freshness, nutty almonds, peach, lifted acidity, creamy, substantially juicy!
