August 2, 2021 - PnP and consumed over 2 nights. Light to medium garnet. A very pleasant nose. Pure and clean strawberry and cherry fruit accented by fragrant spice and campfire. I've often picked up on that campfire or woodsmoke smell on these young Rion's which I'd guess is oak treatment; whatever it is I find it very pleasing on these bottles. It reminds me in a way of the reductive notes a Chard can give off.

Palate gives the same notes as the nose, with more floral, along with orange notes. In balance. This is a real pleasure to drink and a tremendous value in Burgundy.

July 30, 2020 - Nothing special but very nice typical PN fruit from the region.

September 11, 2018 - Initially oak was evident, along with red fruits. As it remained open, notes of smoke and violet came forward. The tannins also took some time to present themselves. Paired fantastically with some delice de bourgogne.

June 30, 2018 - A supple mouthful of rich, ripe black cherries with so-so balance. Shows the juiciness of the vintage but not over done. Good.

June 7, 2018 - My god, this is a delicious 2015 Bourgogne rouge. The word that just kept popping up in my head (which I hate) is "sexy." It is just that for me. It's all sweet and silky red fruit up front, with touches of oak, and then turns a little more savory and spicy on the finish. There is good depth and pretty good length too. For $25 this is about as good as Bourgogne rouge gets in my experience … just a tad modern/forward, but I didn't mind it at all in this case. Definite buy if you see it on the $20-25 range. Very open and ready for business.
