December 5, 2010 - Popped and decanted for sediment. Very interesting nose - talc, dry-aged meat, minerality, and background black fruit. On the palate, surprisingly austere and light. The secondaries are there in all their glory, with some red raspberries hiding out. The minerality is off the charts for what I'd expect from a RRV Syrah. Not a trace of overripeness or gooey jammy flavors, but the smooth tannins keep this from being harsh. I don't think this is going to get any better, so drink up. $23 WB

November 1, 2009 - Aging very nicely, very good Syrah. Highly recommended, can still age longer at this point.

May 31, 2009 - Simply outstanding. Had several to many years of aging potential left in my opinion. Another great wine from the cellar bites the dust pre-divorce.
