October 5, 2017 - Clear, medium to deep, ruby appearance. The nose is clean with medium intensity and notes of black cherry, blackberry, bell pepper, bramble, cooked fruit, jam, vanilla, clove, and a meaty note. The palate is dry, with med (+) acidity, high, ripe tannins, high alcohol, full body, pronounced intensity and a med (+) finish. Palate matches the nose.
I gave points for length, intensity, and complexity but not for balance, as the alcohol is quite hot. Very good wine. Drink now or hold.
