May 31, 2014 - Dark color. Nose of coffee, red berries and vanilla. Full body. Ripe fruits, oak, chocolate and blackberry in the mouse. Lively and warm finish. Fine Carmenere but not my cup of tea, typical new world style.

July 28, 2013 - Coastal Maipo, not eastern. red fruit, mineral, herb, pepper. Rather black peppery on the palate, but has a suave enough fruit appeal to make for a solid glass of wine.

July 20, 2013 - Customer Appreciation Tasting (Bin 75): Dark purple; good tart dark fruit to compliment the tobacco and green pepper notes; really unique in today's lineup.

July 19, 2013 - Sour spice like brambly, someone else said fennel. Palette is smoother than expected, quite delicious actually and QPR is great. Definitely buy this if you can.

July 18, 2013 - This is tasty stuff, will hold and mature over next few years and has great low price point for this whole package. Of note, this is better than the '08 i tried previously. Approaching a fruit bomb type experience, BUT has enough backbone and character to balance everything out. Be prepared for a rich experience.

Nose is clearly earth/must like in quality. Sweaty soaks? Dark, purple fruit. Palate is sharp with acid (needed) and light coating tannins - but overall is kind of warm and enveloping. The fruit is ripe and a hair sour cherry/prune, light leather and a little vegetal note on finish. The fruit has a subtle but distinctly nice sweet quality to it that is kind of refreshing (i don't like anything remotely off-dry). I sampled this a hair cool and after being open for 1-2 hours (needed).

I would recommend strong buy here and somthing to sample out to 2016+. Cheers.
