November 14, 2023 - Disclaimer: A company I am involved with sells this wine.
    70% PN, 15% PM and 15% Chard.
    Vendanges 2015, 3 g/l, Disgorged December 2021.
I don’t drink Leclerc Briant often enough. I always like what I get from them. This is showing a deep golden color.

Deep layered nose with pastry, brown butter, red apple, strawberry, cherry, licorice and cardamome in pretty much that exact sequence. Bold, round mouthfeel with the citrusy acidity appearing as a tingling on entry and building up presence all the way to being assertive on the finish. This is showing great poise and balance and could put a lot of more expensive Champagne to shame. Great stuff.

October 17, 2023 - A nice extra brut, very dry and savory. Harvest 2014, degorgement April 2019. 2g/l. 70% pinot noir.

April 24, 2023 - 70% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. 2017 vintage. Aromas of lemon, green apple, hazelnut, brioche. Wine has great intensity, fresh acidity. Long. Good food companion.

April 23, 2023 - Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): 70% PN, 15% PM, 15% Chard all from 2017 (although officially not labeled with the vintage). Stainless steel. This is 3 grams of dosage. It’s bright and fresh and easy. Blend across all of the Premier Cru vineyards. The person giving our tour was very clear that she did not believe the best wines came from the ‘designated’ vineyards and it was interesting because the other group at our tasting didn’t necessarily prefer this versus the standard Reserve Brut. I can see that in this instance although I’m less convinced when you get to some of the other wines and one could argue that some of the difference was just a difference in quality of year (2019 being a vintage that many are very excited about in Champagne and 2017 being a particularly difficult one). Interesting to see. This was totally fine. I found myself appreciating the ‘nicer’ flight of four that we had after although we do sometimes get these wines as more easy drinking for before a meal.
