April 28, 2024 - Great northern Rhone Syrah. Lip-smackingly dry; no jammy new-world nonsense. No rush.

Drunk this one far too young and with only a short decant. therefore, not fair to assign it a score
It was much more closed off than the 2013 cote Rotie alongside it was drunk. The fruit was also very ripe and black and showed the heat of the vintage
Beyond that, I would say it was in a muted phase of its development

December 3, 2021 - This is a gorgeous wine with a seamless but complex aroma profile that includes floral, wood, animal, pepper, and berry fruit aromas. Silky texture except for big tannins. Not too big for drinking now, but slightly heavier than ideal for my tastes. Otherwise, I like the way this drinks now.

    October 29, 2021 - Charming, needs ageing

August 17, 2021 - Tasted blind. This is a big wine with thick purple fruit and serious tannins. It smells oaky, gamey, and spicy, and a touch rubbery. It certainly reminds me of the GSM Rhone varietals. It is a pleasant wine to drink now but will improve with further aging. Rating: 92.
