December 26, 2020 - A model Eden Valley at a very reasonable price.

November 15, 2019 - Initially taut, a nose of chalk dust and lime peel and a linear, citrus driven palate. Over two days in the eto this turned into a riot of paraffin, cordite, lime and freshly mown grass. Long and with considerable stuffing, this is enjoyable now - particularly with a little air - but may be too much for some and should age well, as others have said.

July 20, 2019 - At Flower Drum, Melbourne. With a pale green straw colour and a restrained nose of lime, green apple and stone this wine is in the earliest phase of its evolution. The palate is similarly restrained yet full of intensity and cut with a long persistent finish. There is plenty of potential in this wine yet enough character to match a strong menu at lunch. The pedigree under Stelvin suggests 20+ years of evolution ahead.

October 22, 2018 - Screwcap, 12.5% alc. Pale colour with green hue.

Dry Mosel aromatics with lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, sulphur, a red current lift and a slight yeasty/bready note. Florals.

Impressively restrained for a Clare Riesling. Good carry, but it’s all structural and textural at the moment, and not fruit–driven. More rocky/Slatey, bitter, water. Doesn’t really pick up and build richness over the coming days.

Opinion: initially impressive but not sure it will entertain going forward.

April 11, 2018 - SLDS April 2018: Steely, lemon rind, passionfruit and lime. Plenty of mineral character on the palate, with some flair from some early lifted fruit character as well. Good length and balance, the acidity feels well integrated. Think this could be a star in 10+ years.
