September 14, 2021 - No formal note, this is somewhat monolithic but has a nice nice and solid palate but the acidity level was too high for me and took away from the enjoyment for me a little, definitely should be paired with a meal.

February 5, 2021 - Master the World Blind Tasting Kit 115A (Feb): Tasted and noted double blind. Medium-ruby color. Aromas of wild herb, berries, dried florals, iodine and blood. Nicely expressive black fruit palate, with secondary notes of wild medicinal herb, blood, florals, earth and leather- rich and savory. Densely textured, medium acid, round and full tannins.

I guessed Mourvedre-based blend - Old World, Southern France.

July 5, 2020 - The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, black currant (cassis), prune, mineral, oak and cinnamon. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

March 28, 2020 - Really nice GSM at any price. Grenache-dominant (as it should be). Great QPR.

January 27, 2020 - This is a blend of 55pc Grenache, 25pc Syrah, 10pc Mourvèdre and the rest a mix of Carignan and cinsault. The producer says 2016 was the “best vintage” they have ever seen. Organic farming, old vines, manual harvesting, and 50pc aged in 2-3yr old oak for 12 months. It’s all a lot of technique for a pretty modest price, but the quality here belies the price tag (€15). Spicy raspberry and bright cherry on the nose. A touch of red skin lolly but not overly confected. Juicy red fruits on the palate but with a bit of structure as well, closing with gentle fuzzy tannins. Super drinkable, and I suspect may develop interesting complexity over 2-3 more years.
