July 25, 2021 - A bit of a curio and one of the very, very few quality Pinot Noir produced in the whole of Spain. Also I'm now led to believe Torres have actually ceased production of this bottling altogether post 2015. Even at just over 7 years of age this still displays a lovely medium to deep ruby colour in the glass with the merest whisper of bricking at the rim. Upon opening this was extremely oaky and smoky but after 4-5 hours in the decanter it came together. The nose displays nicely defined dark cherry, strawberry jam and dried cranberry along with some toasty oak, smoked bacon and a real earthy, mediterranean herbal character. On the palate this is surprisingly fresh, showing lots of black and red fruits along with a little blueberry, dried herbs and cured meat. There's decent body, depth and texture. The finish is crisp and quite lengthy. This is a very interesting and pleasurable Pinot that's in its prime now and will drink well for at least another 3-4 years. Given its scarcity and uniqueness, it's well worth seeking out the remaining stock if you can find it.

April 6, 2019 - too early to open....the wood treatment is still very much present

March 10, 2019 - Surprisingly evolved nose of pinot, this wine was pleasant, round and silky textured. Drinking well now, it will last for another 5 years.

December 11, 2018 - Toasted...caramel, cherry, vegetal notes as well...peppers. Full and rich...smooth. Rather short finish and not overly complex but absolutely delicious! No use waiting I think.

October 14, 2018 - 13th Cellier Wine Fair (Hilton Athenaum Hotel): The nose shows clear red fruit, biscuit, oak, nutty and spicy notes.
The palate is beautiful, with sweet ripe red fruit in a nicely placed oak frame, med body, nice acidity and med finish.
