April 27, 2023 - Spring Rite of Passage bottle. Opened and poured to celebrate springs arrival. Quite a gold color for a Kab. Hints of oily petrol, lychee, quince, pear and lemon. Not as sweet, not as acidic as the best years. Faint citrus sweets, a little viscous in the mouth. Lemon bar flavors. Subtle but lacking a little electricity and sweetness at this point. A little better on day two and three, showing a little more clarity and acidity, so will bump up a point.

March 7, 2020 - Opened and poured.....very yellow and thick for a kab......heavy petrol notes on swirl, neutral at rest. Dense, sweet with less acidity than say the 2001 had....more like a spatlese. Lychee, citrus, kiwi, peach.

July 24, 2017 - Crumbly cork mostly extracted. Honeyed coloring of amber straw. Lighter than, 2001, has the petrol with cork nose. Honeydew, marmalade, green apple. There's a nice acidity keeping this lively, moreso than some of the heavier vintages. Quite enjoyable on a rainy evening.

November 22, 2012 - Paired with a PN and Thanksgiving dinner. A faint citrine color. Nose of petrol resins, gooseberry, lemon chiffon. Quince, kiwi, pear granny smith applie and minerals on the lively palate. Not too sweet, a little tartness, glides on the acidic rocky backbone showing deftness. Very nice.

September 28, 2012 - Simply delicious. Great acidity, with just a touch of sweetness. Wonderful wine and in a great place right now.
