Community Tasting Notes 5

May 23, 2021 - Definitely more Bojo than Burgundy, had a natural earthy element to it. The punchy, tangy fruit of Gamay was clearly evident but there was also a purple/blue-ish hue to the fruit. Found out later that some fruit from MSD went into this which made sense. Made in a fun, early drinking style.

July 28, 2020 - Nez de fraises et aussi d’épices, fait plus Pinot que Gamay au nez. Se boit tout seul, frais, énergétique, vibrant, gourmand, solide vin d’entrée de gamme pour ce beau domaine. 89-90

August 31, 2019 - Nice well made refreshing, medium-light body wine with nice Gamay fruit. Excellent wine to go with meal, and an excellent value from a solid vinter.

July 16, 2019 - First bottles of a case drunk with roast pork. Light colour, lovely soft strawberry fruit on the palate. I really think this is a lovely every day drinking wine, the Gamay and the pinot blending beautifully together to offer a delicious light summer red.

June 11, 2018 - Janselijn Wines & Verkerk Wines Burgundy v. Tuscany Tasting (Restaurant The Lobby Fizeaustraat, Hotel V, Amsterdam, NL): Trade tasting, brief note. Bright, pure and fresh, not too tight, lovely Gamay fruit, decent length.
