March 31, 2022 - Light red. Tart cherry, ample cedar and spice

March 28, 2021 - Pale red colored, with aromas of cherries, pine, brine and spice. While pleasantly lightweight on the palate and light colored in the glass, the flavors are impressively dense: cherries, green herbs, pine, and spice. A white floral note emerges on the finish. The palate is savory with an acidic lift that seems to encourage additional sips. A very good food wine and a very good QPR. Drink now - 2023.

November 27, 2019 - Seven months after the prior: very similar, and equally enjoyable over three nights.

October 15, 2019 - Very light tea-crimson color. Nose herbal, red fruited. Palate tart red bing cherries, some anise/herbal, light body. Faintly chalky towards finish. Could be more complex but very classically styled, well made

May 21, 2019 - On first pop, this scarlet colored wine threw some funkiness on the nose that has nearly all but dissipated on the 2nd day open, perhaps replaced by tar or incompletely brined olive flesh. Else wise, the wine offers scents of sour cherries with a floral flourish. For my palate, this wine is demanding food along side, and it is remarkable how full the mid-palate grew with just a single rustic cracker taken a minute ahead of a sip. I believe this wine is fuller on the palate than the '15 Rhonda's I recently tried, but whereas the fullness of depth and flavor on the other was something of a magic trick, appearing from the more ethereal, transparent liquid, here it comes across in a more linear and obvious presentation. I definitely agree with others on the saline component, particularly notable in the finish. This is a fine representation and blend for the appellation.
