October 28, 2014 - SALONE DEL GUSTO 2014; 10/26/2014-10/30/2014 (LINGOTTO FIERE TORINO): Dorato maturo, già inizio di ossidazione.
Oasticceria, lieviti e ricordi di champagne.
Rimandi legosi caldi e oleosi.
Bel finale vanigliato, ampio e solare.

September 16, 2012 - Acceptable for a Wed night, but nothing profound. I liked the tension for a 2005.

October 23, 2009 - Aligoté and Gevrey villages over lunch (RSJ, London): Baked apple fruit, rubbery and stewed, round and substantial, but not attractive to me

August 5, 2008 - impossibly full bodied and rich for an aligote. the personality of the 05 vintage really comes through. delightful wine, but more like a chard than an aligote. nothing like any aligote i've ever tasted, actually. i liked it as a wine, but not as an aligote.

January 1, 2008 - Quite deep yellow/straw. Nice ample nose : almond and orchard fruits. Mouth entry has vibrant acidity and an almondy bitterness. Very green fruit. Quite full, although the acidity makes it seem very tight still. A touch herbal on the finish and good length. **

January 9, 2007 - Nose has that distinctive saline/salty/anise quality that I associate with tocai friulano. No fireworks on the palate, but then there aren't supposed to be any fireworks. This is certainly a very unique wine. I've always liked it but I'm thinking it might be a little too dry and acidic for some.
