Absolutely awesome on the nose: obviously oak-aged with nutty and smoky aromas but also there is this damned delicious hard candy fruit note that just doesn’t allow for the wood to take over. Some popcorn reduction there, too. On the palate has nice volume but terrific acidity as well. Again the oak plays a prominent role but the wine is not one bit heavy and has wonderfully lively acidity that just dances on the tongue. I could use just a bit more fruit on the palate but by all means this is a lot more balanced wine than the Tollot-Beaut Bourgogne Blanc a while back and very enjoyable on its own, not least for its charming texture. Clearly very well made.

  January 10, 2021 - Nez de citron confit au sel, de poire, d'aubépine et d'amande possédant une réelle présence après aération. Matière très ample, plutôt concentrée qui reste haute en bouche au fruit frais, intense, précis et plus fin que ne le laisse croire le bouquet. Finale finement végétale, minérale et parfumée qui possède une grande persistance. Pour avoir gouté la gamme de blancs au domaine, ils n'ont assurément rien à envier aux rouges. 90-91

  February 13, 2020 - Burgundy, Day 3 (Beaune, France): There's really not much to say about this wine except that it's delicious. A really nice concentrated pear flavour with good acidity to cut it. Summer patio wine in the best possible way.
