Lovely spice filled black cherry. Very impressive richness and concentration with plush black cherry. Nice spice and meat complexity. A serious village Marsannay. 90-92

Another very strong village Marsannay with even more depth and meat spice intensity in the aromas. Sweet, rich black cherry that has so much life and fresh energy. Excellent for its level. 91-92+

From four parcels including Bel-air and Fontenys. Classic Gevrey nose with meaty, savory black cherry. Similar to the village Marsannay wines this has terrific freshness in light of the ripe rich fruit. Less complex and interesting though than the two Marsanny wines. 89-91

From 90 year old vines. Classic Vosne aromas driven by spice, black tea and black cherry. Delicious rich black cherry fruit with plenty of spice throughout. Rich but enough acidity and brightness to carry the fruit. 91-92+

Red fruit with more clay, earth and smoke in the aromas. Bright with lots of fresh red fruits. A bit more austere and structured in the finish relative to the CdN village wines. 90-91+

A real step up over the village Gevrey with a seriously rocking nose of intensely spicy and smoky black cherry with some earth tones as well. Richly fruited with a mineral streak. Plenty of tense energy adding balance and freshness. Nicely complex. 92+

Distinctly red fruited for a Gevrey. Meat and spice add aromatic interest. Good concentration and density, with proportional firm structure. Interestingly red fruited finish. 90-92+

Intensely Gevrey with rich black cherry, smoked meat, game and spice. Palate follows suit with rich, meaty black cherry. Seamless, delineated and lively throughout. Excellent. 92-93+

A brilliant CSJ. Intensely perfumed with so much layering of red and black cherry, spice, meat and some stem character. Grand Cru concentration with so much rich fruit that is well contained and balanced. Everything is in harmony here. 93-95+

A more brooding, dense and firm version of the CSJ. Plenty of rich Grand Cru concentrated fruit. The spice and meat notes are less delineated and intense, but they are there. A rich, ripe, powerful palate yet it shows restraint all a structural backbone to balance. A wine for the ages that will need a decade+ in the cellar. 94-95+

A whopping 25 barrels and 8k bottles here. A powerful but brooding nose of red cherry and clay. A big mouthful of rich, concentrated, decadent fruit -- even more so that the CdB. Once again the fruit is nicely offset by structure and freshness. Will need 20+ years to integrate and shine. 93-95

Attractive strawberry and musk nose. Round and fresh on the palate with nice precision and lift throughout. Already delicious and certainly a contrast with the 1er and Grand cru 2018 barrel samples tasted immediately prior. 90-92

Fruit forward with nice red cherry and some earth tones. Palate has round, lush fruits with pleasant plumpness. Charming and easy to enjoy. 87-89

Blind from a bottle that had been open a bit, so I'm not sure it was the strongest showing. Shows a Gevery character with black cherry and meat spice. Good richness and ripeness to the fruit if a bit lacking in energy. A more mature ripe vintage? 90-91 showing.

Charming wine with a medley of fruit flavors and plenty of juicy energy. A terrific Summer house white. 87-89

Earth and rusticity to the orchard fruit aromas. Rich and plush with good concentration and zippy taut acids. Nice delineation and precision. Good village white. 90-91

Lots of lemon-lime and slate in the aromas. Yum, good luscious and plush fruit that have lip-smacking acidity and energy. Fun to enjoy already. 89-91

Wow, crazy aromatic with citrus and ripe orchard fruit with some smoke. The palate is densely concentrated with great power and energy. Chiseled and delineated across the palate. Long++ finish. Excellent. 93-95+
