    January 23, 2024 - Domaine Roumier Chambolle-Musigny Les Combottes 2017.

June 21, 2023 - Very lovely. Obviously a little too young, but still very svelte. Typical for this producer a touch of tannin on the finish, present to give structure but very gourmande. At this stage it's concentrated for a chambolle, but with lovely matiere. Already drinking well, it will only soften and improve. Impressive

April 29, 2021 - Not worth the ridiculous secondary market price, of course, but a damn fine wine. Just textbook chambolle, with lacy red fruit pulled over a mineral core that tastes like licking a magnet. Surprisingly oaky - honestly a bit more than my preference - but it doesn’t show up texturally, as this remains lithe despite its concentrated flavor. Excellent.

July 23, 2018 - Roumier visit. Earthy, interesting contrast to Cras.

June 27, 2018 - Domaine Roumier Cellar Visit and Tasting (Day 4, Visit 2) (Chambolle-Musigny): Barrel tasting at the domaine. Christophe had forgotten about this earlier, so we squeezed it in. Meaty cherry aromas, more black vs red to start, softer middle-through-finish. Almost Gevrey-like to me today. 90-93 point potential.
