July 15, 2020 - Dégustation Chianti 2016 et quelques extras; 7/14/2020-7/15/2020: On retrouve le nez "pointu" porté par une légère volatile. En bouche les tanins sont marqués, beaucoup d'acidité, l'alcool ressort (le plus chaleureux de toute la série à 15°), presque un aspect de grenache du rhône sud. Bref, "çà envoie" comme dit l'un des participants. Manque d'élégance à ce stade, à revoir avec quelques années de plus. 88/89

November 13, 2018 - A very nice surprise this Chianti Classico from Casavecchia alla Piazza estate owned by Buondonno family. The wine is hiding at the nose with jut a little soil and red fruits smell. But in the mouth it explodes with lots of tastes, from red and dark forest fruits, to plum, to a nice sweet taste which mixed up with a very nice acidity, tannins and a long finish gives this something more to enjoy the bottle. I'm happy I got 5 more bottle of this to enjoy in the next year before getting more.
