January 12, 2024 - 8784, served blind after three hours of decanting. High acidity, smoky, gamey, leafy, Burgundian in style. Should have decanted much longer. Lots of fineness in the details, agreeing with prior notes that this is one for enjoyment with thoughts. 93-94

February 14, 2021 - First bottle in 9 years and the wine continues to soar from the bottle. Double decanted 4 hours prior to drinking. Explosive earthy bouquet with a vibrant red hue and sweet, ripe fruit. Fantastic depth and a lengthy elegant finish. A wine with soul!

November 17, 2019 - What a delight! The 93 Emidio Pepe is a dynamic wine, full of energy and character. The huge nose of wild raspberry, hickory smoke, cured meat, Fall leaves, and cracked black pepper was accessible immediately but also didn’t flag over the following 2 hours. The palate shows the same character, with beautiful richness and acidity. A fascinating, singular wine.

  • Harley1199 Does not like this wine:

August 9, 2016 - At least the last Supper before Holidays? Maybe... (Restaurante Cuenllas - Madrid): I am sorry. It's not for me. It never has been .
Aromas of asphalt devoid of any class or elegance.
Same sensations in the mouth. No interest at all. No attracts me. No love.

Lo siento. No es para mi. Nunca lo ha sido.
Aromas a asfalto carente de toda clase o elegancia.
Mismas sensaciones en boca. No interesa. No atrae. No enamora.
