May 17, 2014 - You know I wasn't that impressed. I had some of the Scholium project at Meadowood in Napa and thought it was great so I ordered some and this was okay. Not often you see this varietal on it's own. Some green apple and pear on the nose and initial taste. Acidity and lack of finish did it for me. Okay but not worth ordering more of.

November 21, 2010 - Loved this wine at this stage of its development. It has rounded out well and gained depth. Popped and poured. Lots of apple. Granny Smith tart and Red delicious sweet at the same time. Bracing citrus acidity and some pineapples. Floral nose. Quite a lot of depth of flavor.Minerality and almost salinity evocative of the ocean. I was thinking a good pairing for shellfish/paella.

July 28, 2009 - Exotic, subtropical nose of pineapple, keylime zest, overripe cherimoya, hint of butyric/rancid butter and tinned fruits. Light to medium bodied, tasting of cherimoya, cream soda, vanilla blossom, with good acidity (for the variety), although it lacks persistence. Lacks something in freshness and length, but more interesting than I expected. Might have another couple of years ahead, but this seems already at or slightly past peak.
