October 12, 2023 - Superb Priorat: fig, tobacco, cherry, plum, oak, leather, blackcurrant, dried herbs, black olive, full body, great balance and dito finish.

October 20, 2022 - Opened and poured at a restaurant. Deep, even ruby. Striking at first are the strong licorice and menthol on the nose, an elegant medium weight and feel, slightly grippy tannins, and wonderfully penetrating crisp acids. As it opens, discrete dark red fruit, citrus, and bitter chocolate arrive, and the tannins ameliorate. Youthful but very complex and poised. Something about this really reminded me of drinking Bordeaux even though this leaned more toward fruit, and it was not just the shape of the bottle. We really enjoyed this.

This time this was the case. It is a very good wine indeed, though. The price of these two wines is roughly the same.
