April 26, 2022 - Similar to the ‘13, but a more linear palate.

April 26, 2022 - Dinner with the wine group (Zazie's, San Francisco): Golden color, nice bubbles; aromatic, again a nice brioche base, nice medium-plus acidity, medium alcohol, a bit of fruit fade through the midpalate; medium length finish. 90

December 13, 2021 - Many hours of air in bottle already. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Thin legs. Persistent fine bubbles.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of biscuit, brioche, green apple, underlying red apple, golden apple, yellow pear and a bare hint of cherry. Developing.
On the palate, dry, very high acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of calcium-rich crushed limestone minerality, green apple then sweet yellow pear, red + golden apples somewhere deep inside. Long finish.
Very good quality. But really too shy now for real enjoyment. This definitely only a champagne for the wine geeks that read into it, coz otherwise on its own it is quite understated.

December 25, 2020 - This is a big fat tart green apple. It is very good cold, and that's where this tasting note ends.

Don't drink it anytime soon, because this wine, right now, isn't representative of we love in these wines.

July 23, 2020 - This is well made and a fine wine, but not for my taste. It's just too dry - all I can really make it is that it's very low dosage champagne. Everything else (place, grape variety) gets lost.

Very lean and linear - an interesting style for a PN. I prefer the big, brassy pinots from Bara, Dethune, etc. I also prefer the St Anne to this Cuvee.
