March 13, 2022 - Never had a bottle from this producer but friends brought this one out after we had finished a couple of bottles that I brought to the table for our dinner....much like Cyclist's notes below, but I need to add: this is refined, it is soft and feminine and it is beautifully balanced and well put together. I would def look for more of these......a very nice wine, a perfect example of Stag's Leap wine.

July 21, 2021 - It’s probably no secret now I generally love wines made by Julien Fayard. This comes from Stelzner Vineyard in Stags Leap District. Bright opaque Ruby to the rim. Blue and red fruits, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking spices, sweet oak aromas. A joy to sit, sniff and sip. The palate is well balanced and not overly tannic or acidic. Powerful and elegant all at the same time. Drink now with short decant or hold for 10+ years easy.
