October 13, 2020 - Apparently the predecessor and now-source for DRC Corton. This has terrific stuffing and richness with loads of spice and earth complexity. A bit non-delineated for me. Could use another 5-10 years to even out.

October 13, 2020 - Both Shades of Corton (My home - Chicago IL): Popped, decanted and poured after a handful of disappointing Cortons. This certainly did not disappoint. Black and red cherry with structure always in the near background. Meaty in a Gevrey fashion, and also clearly showing Grand Cru density. Showcasing 2002 vintage ripeness well, this also stays balanced and harmonious start-to-finish. Very good now. Probably my Wine of the Night.

July 24, 2017 - Clear light red with clear edges. Spicy, floral red cherry nose. Develops in the glass to show some nice red cherry fruit. Spicy, earthy elegant cherry flavours and a great balanced finish that goes on for 30 seconds plus.

I really liked this, others seemed a little less thrilled.

June 20, 2016 - Wow - after decanting, it opens up to a wonderful red fruit base loaded with provincial herbs and a hit of leather. Good body in it and could go longer if needed. Could blend with many dishes.
