September 6, 2022 - Rioja (Rincon 38): Very citrusy and bright.

August 28, 2022 - Monthly Tasting Group: Spain (Rincon 38, Mpls, MN): Light gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. This was just as vibrant as a bottle this Spring. This is so racy and energetic, great acids that cut through anything, citrus laden with oyster shells and earthy saline notes, powdery tart lemon, lemon-lime sweet tarts, green apple, very long and mouth watering. Drank this next to the '18 Do Ferreiro regular which was absolutely no slouch either. Hard to find a better Albarino.

March 30, 2022 - Spain and Italy at Estelle (Estelle, St. Paul, MN): Pale gold color. Drank a glass plus over 2 hours. The nose starts off with just a hint of fusil and then the explosion of minerality and ocean aromas engulf you with that really earthy shellfish and seashore character followed by a mix of white and green citrus with lime, grapefruit and apple forefront. The palate has blissful minerality with the swampy brininess and oyster laden flavors along with near searing acidity that makes this incredibly crisp and lively. This was great with our blood orange and goat cheese salad. Drank this next to an excellent '15 Do Ferreiro Cepas Vejas that took longer to evolve. 92+ to 93pts.

May 15, 2020 - Nose: The nose is pristine and expressive with saline, white fruits, pears, green apples, dough, crushed rocks, acacia flowers, sea shells, peaches, and sea spray notes. There is excellent depth with the nose showing very much in the white fruit spectrum.

Taste: The feel is medium bodied with sharp, high acidity. The acidity has a lot of cut to it while the feel is poised and balanced with white fruits, saline, pears, green apples, acacia flowers, peaches, and crushed rocks.

Overall: This is all about feeling like you are standing on a beach with a fresh breeze. This is beautifully white fruited with lots of depth and precision. The acidity is extremely youthful and this could be interesting with some age on it.
