  August 18, 2022 - A wonderful Nero d’ Avola. Upon decanting, intense aromas of red berries and tobacco. Deep red purple color in the glass that is almost opaque. The wine’s aromas have opened up with rich scents of raspberries and cranberries. On the palate, the wine’s complex texture with accompanying luscious red fruit flavor notes and smooth finish make this an outstanding wine.

  November 19, 2020 - A full-bodied, fruit-forward, and oaky red. Aromas of prunes, maraschino cherries, tobacco, and vanilla. A mostly dried fruit character on the palate, with ripe raspberry notes adding some brightness. Good tannic weight.

  May 17, 2020 - Had this Sunday evening. It really needs air to open up. I had let a glass sit for about 20 minutes. There was funk on the nose and the fruit was a bit subdued. It really started to open up after an hour. Dark cherry fruit, minerals, and licorice. Really nice once it opened up. I'd throw it in a decanter for 1 - 2 hours.
