November 17, 2020 - Medium ruby with purple hues. Expressive nose of bell peppers, with dark cherries berries in the background with mineral and cedar nuances. Light to medium bodied with softish tannins and balancing acidty. Peppers again with cherries and berries more pronounced vs the nose, nice herbal elements along with some barnyard hints. Nice Chinon and good value too.

October 19, 2020 - Decant. Now 1h after decant. Mild brett on the nose w just ripe blackberries, black cherries, mild green peppers, mild levels of ash and earth. just ripe blackberries, black cherries, unripe blueberries, green peppers, herbs, earth and just a bit of woody bark. Nice acids and mild+ tannins on midpalate. Short finish. Has gained more depth and harmony since I last had this. An excellent midweek wine. Nice w just enough complexity to keep one's interest but it's ok to just drink and enjoy. 89+

June 12, 2020 - Decanted. Now 1.5h after decant. Aromas of cassis, earth, green peppers, clove and bitter bark. Palate w bright blackberries, some cassis, nice earthy components, dried bark, and mild green pepper. A bit dilute on the midpalate. Nice acids w medium tannins and a medium body. Short finish. I like this although would have liked more concentration on the midpalate. Very good but not great. I also think the wine is better w some chill on it to enhance it's vibrancy. Gets a little flat as it warms up. Nice midweek wine.

December 14, 2019 - Wine Tasting Group - Cabernet Sauvignon & its Parents (Classic Wine Storage, Dallas, TX): Tight aromas with an initial whiff of brett, and then giving some hints of cherries and herbs. Palate showed more with dark cherries, ripe blackberries, plums, lots of herbs, green peppers, and minerals. Mild-moderate tannins on midpalate with nice acids. Medium bodied with an elegant mouthfeel. Doesn't have the concentration of Les Picasses and Singuliere. Also, a bit disjointed now. May improve with some short- to mid-term ageing.

June 17, 2019 - Quite square on the palate. Blocky frame. Herbal nose with fine tannin and acidity on the palate. Fruit is there but behind the structure a bit. Could use a few years to settle down.
